In 2020, the Covid-19 Pandemic impacted close to 250 million children in India with the closure of schools and this adversely affected primary education especially in rural India. GBTC Trust initiated a grass root level project in 2020 to provide long battery backup smartphones to differently-abled students of low income families to teach them remotely, so that they could continue with their education with minimum interference. Since then GBTC Trust has touched over three thousand students.
