Sardar Pritam Singh, a visionary entrepreneur and educationist, is the founder of Modern Indian School, the first Indian charitable school in Nepal. His lifelong commitment to education has empowered thousands of students, especially those from underserved communities.

Sardar Pritam Singh’s entrepreneurial ventures have significantly contributed to the region’s socio-economic development, always with a focus on creating opportunities for the less privileged. In addition to his pioneering efforts in education, he has shown deep compassion for individuals with special needs, advocating for their inclusion and empowerment. Through the GBTC Trust’s Ability Award, Sardar Pritam Singh continues his mission by recognizing and honoring the exceptional achievements of individuals with special needs, ensuring their contributions to society are celebrated and supported.

Selection Process

The awardees are chosen through a nomination-based process open to Indian nationals and organizations that demonstrate exceptional achievements in promoting inclusion or overcoming challenges.

  2. Eligibility Criteria
    1st and 2nd Categories: Indian citizens living in Ayodhya or nearby districts for 5+ years, with a disability as defined by the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995
    3rd Category: NGOs, institutions, or individuals working in Ayodhya or nearby districts, assisting people with disabilities

    – Review for eligibility and impact
  4.  ⁠Evaluation by Panel
    – Four experts select awardee based on set guidelines
