The Shri Dhirendra Kumar Dubey Ji Ability Master Award is presented to individuals who exemplify resilience, emotional intelligence, and unwavering commitment to family and society, even in the face of unimaginable challenges. This award honors the ability to find purpose through adversity and to inspire strength within others. This award is dedicated to celebrating a person’s ability to transform limitation into leadership — an echo of Shri Rajesh Agarwal Ji’s unwavering faith, positivity, and compassion.
Shri Dhirendra Kumar Dubey (1943 – 2015) was a true embodiment of resilience and humanity — a person who built deep, lasting relationships and radiated optimism even in the toughest times.
After earning his LLB from Lucknow University, he began a promising career as a lawyer before shifting to entrepreneurship. He founded a construction company that successfully partnered with Indian Railways for over three decades.
His life took a transformative turn when his youngest son, at age 24, became quadriplegic after a road accident. Instead of despair, Shri Dubey responded with determination — dedicating himself to empowering his son and turning tragedy into a mission of strength and service.
Until his final days, he remained a source of courage for his family and community, embodying the principle that love and resilience can overcome any hardship. The GBTC Ability Master Award honors his legacy — one of turning life’s challenges into opportunities for growth and compassion.
The Shrimati Gargi Varshney Ability Master Award recognizes women who break barriers, redefine roles, and empower others through education, empathy, and service. This award celebrates the quiet strength and pioneering spirit that continues to shape generations. This award honors the ability to find purpose through adversity and to inspire strength within others. This award is dedicated to celebrating a person’s ability to transform limitation into leadership — an echo of Shri Rajesh Agarwal Ji’s unwavering faith, positivity, and compassion.
Born late 1930s, Mathura Shrimati Gargi Varshney was a trailblazer in her time—a woman who pursued education and independence when societal norms offered little space for either. Born to a respected Tehsildar in Mathura, with siblings who became an engineer and a doctor, she earned a degree in Psychology in 1959—an extraordinary achievement for women of that era.
Married to Dr. K. B. Varshney, who went on to become Director General, Medical & Health, U.P. Government, she supported his career while cultivating an environment of learning and compassion within her family and community.
Her nurturing wisdom and belief in education inspired many around her to pursue knowledge and service. The GBTC Ability Master Award honors her pioneering vision, quiet strength, and lifelong dedication to empowering others through empathy and education.
