GBTC Trust’s Jail Education Program—also known as the Jail Reformatory—brings digital learning, literacy, and life-skills education. We believe that education is not only a right, but also a path to rehabilitation, dignity, and reintegration.
Through technology-enabled classrooms, self-development sessions, and access to reading resources, we help prisoners rediscover confidence, purpose, and the power of knowledge to transform their future.
Many prisoners in India never completed basic schooling. Inside jail walls, time moves slowly, opportunities are scarce, and hope fades quickly. Traditional prison systems focus on confinement, not development. The Jail Education Program changes that narrative. By offering structured learning and access to technology, we promote rehabilitation through education, reflection, and responsibility. When inmates learn, they don’t just earn certificates—they rebuild their self-worth.
